about the Rio Rancho Events center
This $47 million facility is a multi-functional arena with sound, lighting and concert-quality acoustics. The Event Center leads the field among venues in New Mexico and hosts concerts, sporting events, conferences, and cultural programs. With 165, 000 square feet of extended floor space, the Arena is ideally suited for large-scale performances. Equipped to accommodate any type of event, the RREC features a powerful delay speaker system that can enhance the sound of small stage productions. The technical expertise and dedication of the RREC staff ensures that audiences will be dazzled and entertained with shows they will never forget.
Any event is possible with the Arena's flexible setup, retractable seating, protective floor covering and in-house draping system all help to make every event the best it can be. Whether an intimate meeting, a large trade show, or a sellout concert, each event can expect the same professional service.
This multipurpose facility seats approximately 6,000 for arena soccer as well as hockey and rodeos and up to 7,500 for concerts.
The facility can also host boxing, basketball, motocross, ice shows, theatrical productions, to name a few. The RREC has 1,400 parking spaces, 500 club seats, 26 private luxury suites and was designed and built to meet all ADA specifications to accommodate our guests with disabilities.
The Event Center is located in Rio Rancho and is a main attraction for audiences of varying tastes and interests. It is strategically located approximately 10 miles from Albuquerque and 30 miles from the Sunport International Airport.

Directions Using Broadmoor Blvd
This will bring you into the Rio Rancho Events Center via Broadmoor Blvd.
Option 1
- Travel west on Paseo del Norte
- Turn right on Coors by-pass to travel north
- Continue straight on the by-pass onto Pat D'Arco Hwy (528)
- Continue on Pat D'Arco Hwy until Southern Blvd
- Turn left onto Southern Blvd
- Travel approximately 1.3 miles and then turn right on Country Club Dr. SE
- Make your way to the round-a-bout and exit onto Broadmoor Blvd
- Continue approximately 4.5 miles and then turn left onto the Paseo Del Volcan Bypass
- Continue on the PDV Bypass for .5 miles and then turn right onto S Center Dr NE
- Arrive at Rio Rancho Events Center
Directions From West of the River and/or anywhere along Paseo del Norte
This will bring you into the Rio Rancho Events Center via Unser Blvd
Option 1
- Travel west on Paseo del Norte
- Turn right on Coors by-pass to travel north
- Turn left on Westside Blvd. to travel west
- Turn right on Unser to travel north
- Turn right on Arena Dr. and proceed to the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Option 2
(via Rio Rancho’s Restaurant Row):
- Same as the above
- Proceed on Coors By-Pass and stay north on NM528 upon entering Rio Rancho
This route will take you past over 50 Rio Rancho Dining Options to grab a bite on your way to the show or on the way home. So, be sure to pop into one of Rio Rancho’s most famous and favorite eateries like Fat Squirrel, Hot Tamales, O’Hares, Turtle Mountain Brewing Company, Joe’s Pasta House, Davido’s, Cazuelas, Pho Bar, Café Saigon 2, among several other great options.

- Travel west on Paseo del Norte to Golf Course
- Turn right on Golf Course to travel north
- Turn left on McMahon Blvd to travel west
- Turn right on Unser Blvd. to travel north
- Turn right on Arena Dr. and proceed to the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Directions From East of the River
This will bring you into the Rio Rancho Events Center via Bernalillo & Paseo del Volcan
Option 1
- Travel north on I-25, and exit West US-550 in Bernalillo. Turn left on Paseo del Volcan (NM347 and just past the Santa Ana Star Casino and Home Depot), and proceed to the Rio Rancho Events Center.
